Film Launching and Awarding Festival as an Appreciation of KPI Student's Work

At the end of the Even Academic Semester 2021, the KPI Study Program held a Film Launching and Awarding Festival as an award event for KPI students as well as entertainment for watching three films from IPMAFA students, Monday (18/7/2022). The three films screened were "Man Rabbuka" by students of the PBA Study Program, then "Selawe" and "Jalan Tengah" which were produced by KPI students. In this activity, students' photographic artworks were also exhibited which were attached to the hall walls before the participants entered the nobar room.

The event, which was hosted by Lina and Hafilda, was quite entertaining for the participants with the slogan "Breaking the Limits of Creativity". Student works in the form of films, logos, photos, repostages, and other visual communications deserve appreciation so that students are always motivated in learning and creating. The KPI Awards award categories include one day one script, human interest photos, talk shows, reporting, Visual Communication Design (DKV), and TVC.

After the screening, a sharing session was held with the directors of the three films to share experiences related to production activities. Film ideas are often inspired suddenly during college or personal experiences that occur in society so that they deserve to be made into a film.

The Head of the KPI Study Program, Isyrokh Fuaidi, expressed his appreciation to the students who are always enthusiastic in creating creative content and broadcasting. This is a shared need because today is the era of media convergence where communication media are present in various ways and cannot be monopolized by one particular player. Visual works can now be presented and distributed across digital platforms. Therefore, KPI students are required to always be creative-innovative so that their works are of high quality and appreciated by the community.
